The pygmy Date Palm is a hardy palm that grows from 4 to 12 feet tall. This is a delicate-looking plant; its arching, narrow-leaved fronds branch to form a symmetrical shape. Watch out for the nasty thorns at the base of each frond!

Maintenance Tips
Pick off yellowed leaves. Wash leaves occasionally with plain water.
Prune lower fronds close to the trunk as they become browned.
Do not use Brand-X or leaf shine products on this plant.

Scale and mealy bugs. Mites may appear if humidity is low.
Leaf spot and bud rot.
